Why?

Why do people spend millions and upon millions of dollars not to benifet themselves. The author of "What Should a Billionaire Give - and What Should You?" seems to belive in philanthropy. She talks about how Bill Gates and Warren Buffen are giving billons of dollars to charity. When I think why, a reason comes up in my head. If you give to charity than you get a tax break. That might be a reason to give. The auther also ask us what we should give. I say nobody should give it to people who don't desrive it, but it's really hard to find out who desrives money and who doesn't. Some billonares don't desireve what they have.

Yom Kippur

The best part about doing a current event is that I get to chouse what I talk about. There was a Holiday called Yom Kippur on Tuesday and Wensdays.

This holiday is the most Holyies Holiday in Israel and to all Jews. This day has all of us in awe of the power of G-d and his mighty power. This hoiday in Israel, everything is closed. Airports are closed. Boarders are closed. Also restraunts are closed.

            In 1973, the arab war broke out on Yom kippur because of Israel closing everything.  The war kill a lot of people and most people will pray for there not be any conflict. Israel is worried about the Nucular program in Iran.

            Yom Kippur is the day of atonement. What that means is my people and me can get redeemed for our transgressions. What we do on this day is we don’t eat or drink.  We don’t bathe or work at all. What has to happen is my people and I must go to a synagogue and pray all day until Yom Kippur is over.

Israel has come to a halt like all Jews have on Yom Kippur. This is a pure act of faith.
